What We Localize
Corporate and Brand Websites Full website localization — company pages, about sections, service descriptions, team pages, news and blog content, contact pages — translated and culturally adapted for each target market.
E-Commerce and Product Pages Product names, descriptions, specifications, category pages,
filters, checkout flows, customer account pages, and purchase-related content — localized with the commercial register and terminology conventions of each target market.
CMS and WordPress Content Direct integration with WordPress via WPML and other multilingual plugins, and with Joomla, Drupal, and other major content management systems. We work within your CMS or via exported content packages — whichever fits your workflow.
Active HTML and Web Application Content HTML, PHP, and JavaScript-embedded content, active
web application resources, and interface strings for web-based platforms — extracted, translated, and reintegrated in the correct format for your development environment.
XML and XLIFF Localization Resources XML translation files, SDLXLIFF and XLIFF packages, and other structured localization formats from content management and software localization workflows.
SEO Metadata and Structured Data Page titles, meta descriptions, alt text, structured data, URL slug translations, and other metadata elements — localized with keyword awareness for each
target language market, not simply translated from the source.
App and Interface Strings Web application UI strings, button labels, navigation elements, error
messages, form field text, and embedded interface content — delivered in the file format your development team requires.
Privacy, Legal, and Compliance Pages Privacy policies, cookie notices, terms and conditions, GDPR information pages, and other legally required website content — translated with the
appropriate legal register for each target jurisdiction.
Webshop and Digital Commerce Content Product listings, promotional content, category
descriptions, and customer-facing e-commerce text for online stores and digital marketplaces.
Website Localization
Is Not Website Translation
Translating a website word-for-word and localizing it for a market are different tasks.
Website translation converts content from one language to another. Website localization
converts it for an audience — adjusting commercial register, idiomatic expression, cultural
references, date and number formats, measurement units, and any content that relies on local context to work as intended.
A product description that converts accurately but sounds foreign to a native speaker of the
target language will underperform in that market regardless of its linguistic accuracy. A call to
action that is translated but not adapted for local commercial conventions will convert less well than one that reads as written by a native speaker for a native audience.
Our website localization work distinguishes between content that requires accurate translation
— technical specifications, legal pages, structured data — and content that requires adaptation
for each market — brand messaging, marketing copy, consumer-facing descriptions,
navigation language. We apply the appropriate approach to each content type rather than treating the entire website as a single translation task.

Technical Workflow
File format handling. We work with all standard web content formats: HTML, PHP, XML, XLIFF,
SDLXLIFF, JSON, PO/POT files, Excel exports from CMS platforms, and proprietary CMS export
formats. If your platform exports a format not listed, send us a sample file and we will confirm compatibility before quoting.
CMS integration. For WordPress sites using WPML, we work directly within the multilingual plugin
workflow or via export/import packages. For Joomla, Drupal, and other major CMS platforms, we work with the platform's standard multilingual export format.
SEO localization. We translate SEO metadata with keyword awareness rather than literal
accuracy — understanding that a keyword that performs in English may not be the most
effective keyword in German, French, or Spanish. Where you provide target-language keyword
research, we apply it. Where you do not, we translate for natural target-language search intent.
Translation memory for websites. Website content changes frequently. Maintaining a translation memory specific to your website means that updated pages, new product descriptions, and
added sections are translated with full consistency against previously approved content — and
at lower cost, since unchanged content is reused from the TM rather than retranslated.
Staged delivery. For large websites being localized into multiple languages simultaneously, we can deliver in prioritized stages — high-traffic pages first, lower-priority content following — to allow a faster initial launch while the full localization is completed.
Language Coverage for Website Localization
We localize websites across all major EU languages and selected non-EU directions: European: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Greek, Ukrainian, Russian.
Non-European: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean — documented
in active website localization programs.
For e-commerce localization requiring right-to-left text direction — Arabic, Hebrew — we handle the directionality requirements as part of the localization scope.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work directly in WordPress? Yes. We work with WordPress via WPML and other
multilingual plugins, either directly within the CMS or via export/import packages, depending on your preference and workflow.
Can you handle XLIFF and XML files from our localization workflow? Yes. XLIFF, SDLXLIFF, and XML are standard formats we work with regularly. Send us a sample file and we will confirm the exact workflow before quoting.
Do you localize SEO metadata as well as page content? Yes. Page titles, meta descriptions, alt text, and URL slugs are included in our standard website localization scope. We localize these with awareness of target-language search intent rather than applying literal translation.
Can you localize a website into many languages simultaneously? Yes. Simultaneous
multilingual website localization — with consistent terminology across all language versions and coordinated delivery — is a standard part of our operation. Our largest documented simultaneous website localization program covers 20+ languages.
How do you handle website updates after the initial localization? Through a maintained
translation memory that stores all previously approved translations. When pages are updated or new pages are added, only new and changed content requires translation — existing
approved content is reused from the TM, ensuring consistency and reducing update cost.
Can you advise on CMS selection for a multilingual website? Yes. We regularly advise clients on
CMS selection from a multilingual management perspective — which platforms handle
multilingual content well, which create ongoing maintenance problems, and what to look for in a multilingual module. Contact us to discuss your situation.
