Case Studies
How Organizations Work With Business Team Translations
The following case studies describe real client relationships — projects we have delivered,
challenges we have solved, and partnerships we have maintained over years and decades.
They span nine industries and seven countries of origin, and they are selected not because they are our largest accounts by revenue, but because they illustrate the range of situations where organizations turn to us for help.
Each one represents a different kind of problem: volume at scale, technical complexity,
regulated content, multilingual coordination, long-term supply, or rapid market entry. Taken together, they describe what it means in practice to help organizations operate across languages.
01 — Delta Plus Group
A Twenty-Year Multilingual Technical Documentation Program
Industry: Industrial Manufacturing / Workplace Safety Equipment Client origin: France Scope: 487 projects, 5,964 individual jobs, 22 languages Relationship: Client since 2005
Delta Plus Services SAS is a French multinational and one of Europe's leading manufacturers of personal protective equipment and professional workwear, with distribution across more than
100 countries. Their product range spans thousands of individual items — each requiring safety
data sheets, product specifications, handling instructions, and regulatory documentation in the languages of every market they supply.
In 2005, Delta Plus launched an international tender for a long-term multilingual translation
partner. The selection process was rigorous: agencies were evaluated across more than twenty languages simultaneously, with translation quality, project management capability, and technical sector knowledge all assessed before a supplier was confirmed.
Business Team Translations was selected.
Over the following two decades, we have translated safety data sheets, technical product
documentation, workwear specifications, software interfaces, and regulatory materials for Delta
Plus into all major European Union languages and beyond — including non-European
combinations as their distribution expanded globally. The relationship has grown continuously, now representing our largest single client partnership by cumulative project value.
The Delta Plus program is not a series of individual assignments. It is a structured, ongoing
supply relationship with consistent terminology, maintained translation memories across all
language pairs, and a single project management contact coordinating all workstreams. When
Delta Plus updates a product line, releases new safety documentation, or enters a new market, the language infrastructure to support that is already in place.
What this demonstrates: Long-term technical documentation supply across 20+ languages.
Competitive tender selection. Sustained quality at volume over two decades.
02 — Ipsos
Multilingual Research and Client-Facing Content for a Global Insights Group
Industry: Market Research & Insights Client origin: International (Italian operations) Scope: 349 projects, 699 jobs, 15 languages Relationship: Long-term ongoing
Ipsos is one of the world's three largest market research and public opinion companies,
operating in more than 90 countries. Their work involves continuous production of research
instruments, client-facing reports, presentation materials, and analytical documentation —
content that is inherently multilingual, produced under time pressure, and expected to meet a high professional standard.
Our partnership with Ipsos has been built primarily through their Italian operations, covering
translation and revision of research documentation, client presentations, survey instruments,
and analytical reports. The work spans both directions — from Italian into other languages as
Ipsos distributes findings internationally, and into Italian as content arrives from other market teams.
At 349 projects over the course of the relationship, this is a high-frequency, recurring supply
model. Research timelines are rarely forgiving, which means project management — not just
translation quality — determines whether a supplier relationship works. The consistency of our delivery has been the foundation of the partnership.
Specific project evidence includes multilingual translation packages for automotive industry research (FIAT), and recurring multi-document translation and revision assignments across
English, French, German, Polish, and other European languages.
What this demonstrates: High-frequency multilingual supply for a fast-moving research
environment. Consistent delivery across 15 languages under client-driven timelines.
03 — Lufthansa Systems
Enterprise Aviation Software Localization
Industry: Aviation IT / Software Client origin: Germany Scope: 30 projects, multi-million-word program across complex file structures Relationship: Completed program; formal letter of recommendation issued
Lufthansa Systems is a leading IT service provider for the aviation and transport industry, developing and maintaining enterprise software platforms used by airlines and airport
operators globally. Their systems manage flight operations, ground handling, infrastructure, and
passenger services — environments where terminology precision is not a preference but an
operational requirement.
The core assignment Business Team Translations delivered for Lufthansa Systems was the
localization of a complete enterprise management system, including all associated technical documentation. The project encompassed:
Multiple software modules with interconnected file structures
Hundreds of individual files across varied formats including Visio technical diagrams, documentation sets, and embedded UI strings
Ongoing update cycles as the software was developed and refined
Strict consistency requirements across all content types and all languages
Projects of this kind are not translation assignments. They are production programs — requiring file analysis and preparation before translation begins, format conversion where necessary,
coordinated translation across multiple linguists working to shared terminology, reintegration of translated content into the source file structure, and quality verification before delivery.
Lufthansa Systems subsequently issued a formal letter of recommendation following
completion of the program, acknowledging the quality and professionalism of the work delivered.
What this demonstrates: Large-scale enterprise software localization. Technical file handling across complex structures. Formal client endorsement.
04 — B.Well Swiss AG
Medical Device Documentation
Across 22 Languages
Industry: Medical Devices / Healthcare Client origin: Switzerland Scope: 94 projects, 183 jobs, 22+ languages including Arabic, Persian, Vietnamese, Mongolian Relationship: Long-term ongoing
B.Well Swiss AG is a Swiss manufacturer of consumer and professional medical devices — blood pressure monitors, thermometers, respiratory care products, and diagnostic equipment —
distributed across European and global markets. Every device that enters a regulated market requires documentation: instructions for use, safety information, product specifications, and app content, in the language of every country it is sold in.
The scope of B.Well's language program extends well beyond standard European Union
coverage. Their distribution into Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, and Central Asian markets
means that Arabic, Persian/Farsi, Vietnamese, and Mongolian are required alongside French,
German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, and the full Central and Eastern European set.
Business Team Translations manages this language program as a coordinated multilingual supply. When B.Well releases a new product or updates existing documentation, content is
distributed simultaneously across all required language combinations — with consistent
terminology, consistent formatting in the required Excel and XML file formats, and coordinated delivery to B.Well's production schedule.
The project evidence reflects the technical nature of the work: translated content delivered in
structured Excel files mapped to product model codes, covering medical specification sheets, IFU content, and app interface strings. Format fidelity — returning content in exactly the structure the client's systems require — is as important as linguistic accuracy.
What this demonstrates: Medical device documentation across European and non-European
languages. Structured file format handling. Ongoing multilingual supply for a regulated-sector
manufacturer.
05 — Virgin Active Italia
Website and Commercial Content Localization for an International Fitness Brand
Industry: Fitness, Leisure & Consumer Services Client origin: Italy (international brand) Scope: 14 projects, 19 jobs, 6 languages Relationship: Completed and ongoing
Virgin Active is one of the world's largest premium health club operators, with clubs across
Europe, Africa, and Asia. Their Italian operations required website content, commercial
documentation, and member-facing materials to be professionally localized — content that
needed to feel natural to native speakers of each target language, not like a translated version of an Italian original.
The localization program covered the full Virgin Active Italia website — member acquisition
content, club descriptions, service information, pricing pages, and corporate documentation — alongside commercial affiliate agreements and operational materials.
Website localization of this type demands more than translation. Navigation structure, call-toaction language, promotional copy, and form content all need to work in the target language environment, not just read correctly. Our project management for the Virgin Active program coordinated content extraction, translation, adaptation, and delivery across six languages, maintaining the brand tone and commercial intent of the Italian source throughout.
What this demonstrates: Full website localization for an international consumer brand.
Commercial content adaptation across six languages. Brand-consistent output in a consumerfacing environment.
06 — Bank of China
Annual Reports, Regulatory Documentation and Financial Statements
Industry: Banking & Financial Services Client origin: China (Hungarian operations) Scope: 44 projects, 50 jobs, 6 languages Relationship: Long-term ongoing
Bank of China's Hungarian operations required ongoing translation of high-stakes financial documentation: group annual reports, accounting records, regulatory filings, disclosure
documents, and certified translations of official corporate materials. This is content where accuracy is not a quality preference — it is a legal and regulatory requirement.
Over multiple years, Business Team Translations delivered more than 600 pages of financial documentation for Bank of China, including annual reports at group level, parent company financial statements, and certified translations of corporate documents.
The relationship is supported by the following statement from the client's Chief Accountant: "In the past year alone, Bank of China has confidently partnered with Business Team
Translations for the translation of over 600 pages of crucial accounting and financial
documents, including annual reports, regulations, and disclosure documents. Their team of
financial translation specialists meticulously translated every detail, meeting all deadlines with exceptional accuracy. Business Team Translations' professionalism and deep industry
knowledge were pivotal in ensuring our complex requirements were met promptly and precisely."
Szabolcs Pintér, Chief Accountant — Bank of China
What this demonstrates: Financial and regulatory document translation for a major
international bank. Named client testimonial. Certified translation capability. Consistent delivery under compliance-driven deadlines.
07 — GlobalLogic Inc.
Cardiology Software Localization Across Nine European Languages
Industry: Healthcare Software / Digital Products Client origin: United States Scope: 5 projects, 18 jobs, 10 languages Relationship: Completed program
GlobalLogic is a California-based multinational specializing in the development and testing of
healthcare software products. Their cardiology software platform — used in clinical and hospital
environments — required localization into nine European languages for market entry across
Western and Northern Europe.
The localization program covered software UI strings, help files, user guides, and RESX resource files — content types that require both linguistic accuracy and technical precision. Software localization differs from document translation: strings have character limits, placeholder
variables must remain intact, UI terminology must be consistent with the operating system
conventions of each target language, and the localized software must function correctly in the target-language environment.
The language combination — English into Swedish, Polish, Norwegian, Dutch, Danish, German, Spanish, Italian, and French — required nine coordinated translation workstreams running in
parallel, with shared terminology to ensure that the same clinical concepts were expressed consistently across all language versions.
What this demonstrates: Healthcare software localization across nine simultaneous language
combinations. Technical file format handling (RESX, LPU). Consistent multilingual terminology for regulated clinical content.
08 — DigitalPA
Public Administration Platform Localization
Industry: GovTech / Public Sector Software Client origin: Italy Scope: 38 projects, 44 jobs, 5 languages Relationship: Long-term ongoing
DigitalPA is an Italian software company specializing in digital tools for public administration —
platforms that support public consultations, document management, procurement processes, and institutional communication for government bodies across Italy and internationally.
As DigitalPA expanded their platform beyond Italy, their software required localization into
European languages to serve public sector clients in other markets. This is a specific and
demanding localization context: public administration software must use precise, jurisdictionappropriate institutional language — not consumer-facing copy, but the formal register
expected in official and governmental environments.
The localization work covered front-end interface content delivered in structured Excel files
mapping UI strings to target languages including Spanish, German, Portuguese, and English.
The structured file format reflects the technical integration requirements of the platform, where translated strings must map exactly to their source counterparts to display correctly in the target-language interface.
What this demonstrates: GovTech and public sector software localization. Institutional register and formal language in government-facing content. Structured file format handling for software integration.
09 — Office Depot
E-commerce and Product Content Localization
Industry: Retail / E-commerce Client origin: United States (European operations) Scope: 7 projects, 8 jobs, 5 languages Relationship: Completed program
Office Depot is one of the world's largest office supplies retailers, operating both physical stores and a major e-commerce platform across North America and Europe. Their European
operations required product content, technical specifications, and catalogue data to be
localized for different European markets — a recurring challenge for multinational retailers
managing large product databases across multiple language versions.
E-commerce localization for a retail operation of this scale involves structured content: product
descriptions, category names, technical attributes, and regulatory documentation all formatted in ways that feed directly into the platform's product management system. Content must be delivered in the exact format the system expects, at the volume and speed the catalogue update cycle demands.
The Office Depot program included Italian-language product content localization, technical
specification sheets, and ISO certification document translation across the relevant European market languages.
What this demonstrates: E-commerce and retail product content localization. Structured catalogue content handling. Multilingual localization for an international retail operation.
10 — PwC
Audit, Accounting and Advisory Documentation
Industry: Professional Services / Audit & Tax Client origin: International (Italian operations)
Scope: 3 projects, 13 jobs, 3 languages Relationship: Active
PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the four largest professional services networks in the world.
Their Italian operations engaged Business Team Translations for the translation of audit
documentation, financial statements, and advisory materials — content that combines the
linguistic precision of financial reporting with the formal register of regulated professional services.
The project documentation reflects the nature of Big Four audit work: formal attestation
documents, multi-volume financial statement packages, and grouped documentation sets
organized for submission to Italian regulatory authorities (Ministero dell'Interno). Content of this type requires translators with direct familiarity with both the source and target regulatory
frameworks, and with the precise terminology expected in professional audit and assurance contexts.
What this demonstrates: Financial and regulatory documentation for a Big Four professional services firm. Formal audit and advisory content across multiple European languages.
Regulatory submission-ready translation.
