What makes English translation different
Every language creates its own problems. These are the ones that decide whether English work succeeds or has to be redone.
UK, Irish and US English differ in spelling, punctuation, date format, units and legal vocabulary — a claimant in England is a plaintiff in the United States. We ask which variant applies before the first sentence is translated, and hold that decision in the client glossary so it survives into the next project.
English is typically 10–15% shorter than German, Finnish or Hungarian source. That frees layout space rather than breaking it, which is the opposite of the problem you face translating out of English — but it can leave visible gaps in tightly designed layouts, and we flag it at DTP stage.
English written by non-native speakers is the most common single cause of error in multilingual projects. An ambiguity that survives into translation becomes the same error in every target language at once. Where the source can be read two ways we query it rather than guess — one question answered early is cheaper than twenty corrections later.

Which variant of English should I choose?
Choose by where the document will be read or submitted, not by preference. A submission to a UK authority uses UK English; FDA-facing documentation uses US English; documents for an Irish court use Irish conventions. If the audience is genuinely international, we recommend UK English with international units and ISO date format, and we record that choice for future projects.
Can you certify English translations for UK or Irish authorities?
Yes. We issue a signed and stamped certification statement confirming that the translation is accurate and complete, which is the form UK and Irish authorities normally require. Neither jurisdiction operates a sworn translator system in the continental European sense — if you have been told you need a "sworn" translation for the UK, that is usually a misunderstanding of what is being asked for.
Can you translate from English into many languages at once?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are set up for. A single English source is translated in parallel across target languages under one project manager, with one shared glossary, so a term approved in the English source is rendered consistently in every language rather than differently by each translator.
